Bookings

Create a booking event type

Set up one kind of call clients can book — its name, length, meeting place, and its own booking link.

Open this screen in the app ↗

An event type is one kind of call people can book. Each has its own booking link, hours, and confirmation emails.

You reach them from Calendar Automation > Events. If it is not in your menu, the calendar is not switched on for your workspace yet.

  1. Click New at the top right.
  2. Type the name clients will see in Event Title \*.
  3. Check the Booking URL Slug \* — it fills in from the title and becomes the end of your booking link (lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens only).
  4. Write a short Description for the public booking page.
  5. Leave Active on so the page accepts bookings.
  6. Click Next on each screen; the last button reads Create Event.

Call length and meeting place

These live on Limits & buffers, under Call Details.

  1. Pick 15m, 30m, 45m, or 60m under Duration (minutes), or type 5 minutes or more into Custom.
  2. Choose Phone, Zoom, Meet, or In-Person under Location / Meeting Type and fill in the field that appears.
  3. Set Buffer Between Calls for a gap after every call.
  4. Set Your timezone to the timezone your working hours are written in.
Note

With Zoom connected under Integrations, choosing Zoom creates a separate Zoom meeting per booking; without it you paste one fixed link everyone uses.

Important

For Zoom (without Zoom connected), Meet, and In-Person, the link or address is required before you can continue.

Confirmation emails and reminders

On the Confirmation screen: Confirmation Email goes to your client, Admin Notification to you, and Reminder Workflows holds ready-made reminders (24 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes, call start) you can switch off, edit, delete, or restore with Restore defaults.

Ignore the Channel dropdown on a reminder — it only offers Email and does nothing; Send by, further down, decides. WhatsApp is selectable there only once WhatsApp is connected and you have a Meta-approved template.

Approval and payment

Both live on the Apps & webhooks screen.

  • Require approval — Bookings arrive as Pending Approval and wait for your decision.
  • Require Payment — Bookings arrive as Pending Payment with a Complete Payment button.
  • Payment Link URL — Your Razorpay page or checkout link — required when Require Payment is on with an amount above zero.

A Pending Payment booking stays there — no button marks it paid, and reminders only go to Confirmed bookings. Prefer Require approval to keep control.

Click Create Event; the event appears in the Event types list.
