Send a one-off email campaign
A campaign is a single email sent once to the contacts you choose — use it for an announcement, an offer or an invitation, rather than an automatic follow-up.
Open this screen in the app ↗A campaign goes out once, to the group you pick, at the time you pick. A sequence follows one person over days; a campaign sends the same message to everyone at once.
Start a campaign
- Click Email in the left menu, then Campaigns.
- Click Create Email Campaign.
- Type a name over Campaign name... at the top. Only you see this name.
While a campaign is going out its status is sending, and there is no filter tab for that — it disappears from Drafts, Sent and Scheduled until it finishes. Click All to find it.
Fill in the four steps
Look at: The three numbered cards: From, To and Subject
- Check From. A green box shows the address your contacts will see; if it says sending is unavailable, click Open sender setup and finish connecting your sender first.
- Open the dropdown in To and click the tags you want to send to. Leaving it empty sends to all your contacts.
- Click Preview recipients to see the first ten names, so you know the list is what you expected.
- Type your subject into Subject, then a line into Preview Text — the grey line shown after the subject.
- Write the email in Content, using the Add a block row for text, buttons, links, images, dividers and spacers.
The recipient count only includes contacts who have an email address and have not unsubscribed or bounced — usually lower than your total contact count, and it is the number that will actually be mailed.
Test it, then send
Look at: Send Test, Save Draft, Schedule and Send Now
- Click Send Test, type your own address, and click Send Test again. The email arrives with [Test] in front of the subject.
- Click Save Draft if you want to come back to it later.
- Click Schedule, pick a Date & Time, then click Schedule to send it later.
- Click Send Now to send it today. Check the To, From and Subject lines in the box that appears, then click Send campaign.
In a test email, variables are filled in with stand-in details — it is a delivery and layout check, not a personalisation check.
Schedule and Send Now stay greyed out until the subject line has something in it, and Send campaign is blocked when the recipient count is zero. Sending and scheduling both need a connected sender; only Save Draft works without one.
A large campaign goes out in batches of about 75 at a time, roughly a minute apart — you do not need to keep the page open. A campaign scheduled to land between 10pm and 8am IST waits until 8am. Send Now sends regardless of the hour.
After it has gone
A sent campaign cannot be edited or sent again — even its name is locked. Opening it shows its report instead of the builder. To reuse it, go back to the Campaigns list and click the copy icon, which creates a fresh draft with the same content.
