Attribution: where your leads came from

The Attribution screen ties an ad click through to a payment, so you can see which ad produced revenue rather than which ad produced clicks.

Open this screen in the app ↗

Attribution follows a visitor from the ad they clicked through to the payment they made, grouped by ad, by city and by hour — use it to decide which ads to keep paying for.

Note

This screen needs the Advanced Reports module on your workspace.

Important

Attribution reads a separate visitor-tracking store, filled by a visitor-tracking connection installed on your landing pages. Funnel pages built inside this platform do not feed it, and its visits are not stamped with a workspace — unless that connection has been set up specifically against your workspace, this screen shows zeros even while your ads and funnels are running. In the meantime, open a contact and read Source / Campaign to see where a lead came from.

  1. Click Reports in the left menu.
  2. Click Attribution.
  3. Pick a period: Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, All Time or Custom.
  4. Click Filters if you want to narrow by campaign, city or device.
  5. Click a row in Ad Performance to open the visitors behind it.

The screen reloads itself every 60 seconds; Refresh reloads straight away. The search box filters the whole screen, and the tabs switch between All Visitors, Paid Only and Not Paid.

The date range filters on when the visit happened, not when the payment arrived.

The five summary cards

The summary cards. Total Revenue here is a real payment amount, unlike the revenue figure on Email Reports. diagram

They count recorded visits (repeat visits collapsed into one), visits that ended in a captured payment, the sum of the actual payment amounts, payments divided by visitors, and the ad with the highest revenue in the current period and filters.

How a payment gets attached to an ad

A payment is matched to the most recent visit in the previous 24 hours that has no payment against it — a timing guess, not an identity match. A sale can be credited to the wrong visit, and a buyer whose first visit was more than 24 hours earlier is matched to no ad at all. Treat ad-level revenue as a strong indication, not an accounting record.

Ad Performance

One row per ad with Visitors, Paid, Spend, Revenue, ROI and Conv %; visits with no ad information group under "Direct / Unknown". Spend is read from your connected ad account and shows a dash when the ad cannot be matched; ROI shows a dash when there is no spend figure. Click a row to see the individual visitors behind it and, when the ad can be matched, an age and gender breakdown.

The age and gender breakdown is always the last 7 days from your ad account, whatever period you selected at the top of the page.

Appears only when Paid Only is selected, listing every buyer with their details, payment time and amount.

  1. Click Latest to sort by most recent payment, or Amount to sort by size of payment.
  2. Type in Search buyers... to find one person.

Geographic Reach

A map of India with a dot per city — dot size grows with visitors, and clicking a dot shows that city's contacts. Gold means recorded revenue, green a payment with no amount, blue visitors only.

The map only plots a fixed list of about 75 Indian cities it holds coordinates for — traffic from anywhere else never appears as a dot, though it still counts in the City Performance table.

Lost Leads Alert

Groups of 3 or more people who clicked an ad in the last 7 days and did not buy, grouped by ad and city; the most recent 2 hours are left out.

The "retarget →" text is a label, not a button — clicking a row does nothing. Set up your retargeting in your ad account.

"Potential revenue if 10% convert" is 10% of the unpaid visits multiplied by ₹299 — it does not use your actual prices.

Best Time to Run Ads

A day-by-hour grid in IST: darker blue means more visits, and green marks an hour that also produced a payment.

City Performance

Top Age Signal is the same value on every row — the strongest age group across all of your ads combined, not the age group for that particular city.

Imported historical records are deliberately left out of every visitor count. Their payments still count in the Visitors vs Payments chart, the Best Time to Run Ads grid and City Performance, but not in the summary cards or Ad Performance — a city showing payments but no visitors is usually this.
