Where funnel form submissions go
What happens when someone fills in your funnel form: the contact that is created, the labels it gets, and where to find it.
Open this screen in the app ↗Every form on a published funnel page saves the visitor straight into your contacts. Nothing needs connecting — the form is already wired to your workspace.
Prepare the form
- Open the page in the builder from Funnels → All Projects → Open funnel → Edit.
- Click the section that holds your form in the CONTENT panel and find the blue Form fields box.
- Open the + Add a field… list and choose the fields you want — name, email, phone, or a custom question of your own.
- Delete a field you do not need with the small bin icon beside its box.
- Check the form's button: its When clicked setting should be Send the form.
- Click Publish.
Look at: The + Add a field… dropdown
A submission with no valid email address is refused. Keep an Email field on every form that is meant to capture leads.
What the visitor sees
The button reads "Submitting..." while the contact is saved, then the visitor sees your success message and the page moves on to the thank-you step the form points at. If the save fails, an error shows in red, the button becomes clickable again, and nothing half-finished is recorded.
Forms only work on the published public link. Submitting inside the builder or in a preview window does not create a contact.
What happens to the contact
The email address decides everything. If nobody in your workspace has that email, a new contact is created; if somebody does, that contact is updated instead — you never get a duplicate. Only fields that were still empty are filled in; a name, phone or source you already had is never overwritten.
- lead — A label added to every funnel submission.
- meta-lead — Added as well when the visitor arrived from Facebook or Instagram.
Find your leads
- Open the funnel from Funnels → All Projects.
- Click the Leads tab.
- Or click Contacts in the left menu to see every contact in your workspace.

The Leads tab shows up to the 100 most recent contacts for this funnel. For the full list, filtering and export, use Contacts.
What happens next
- A sequence set to start from a funnel form submission, and switched on, enrols the new contact at its first step.
- The submission also raises a form submitted event — plus a contact created event for a brand-new contact — which your workflows can act on.
Sequence emails go out on a check that runs every 15 minutes, so the first email is not instant. Nothing is sent between 10pm and 8am India time — messages due in those hours wait until the morning.
A contact is enrolled in a given sequence only once. A second submission updates them, but does not start them again from the beginning.
A contact whose record is already marked as paid is not auto-enrolled by a funnel form submission.
