Reports

Email reports: opens, clicks, bounces and what they mean

Email Reports is where you see how your marketing email actually performed, and exactly what each number is counting before you act on it.

Open this screen in the app ↗

Email Reports totals every marketing email your workspace has sent and shows who opened it, who clicked and who bounced.

Note

This screen needs the Email module on your workspace.

  1. Click Reports in the left menu.
  2. Click Email Reports.
  3. Choose which emails you want to look at using the four buttons under the title.
  4. Click Refresh at any time to pull the latest figures.

Choose which emails you are looking at

  • Marketing — Every email that belongs to a campaign or a sequence. The default view.
  • Sequences — Only emails sent as a step of a sequence.
  • Campaigns — Only emails sent as a one-off campaign.
  • Booking & Transactional — Everything that is neither — booking confirmations, reminders and other automatic mail. It is deliberately kept out of Marketing.

The eight numbers

The two rows of number cards. The small grey figure under each number is its percentage, and each percentage uses a different base. diagram

The Opened, Clicked and Converted percentages are measured against Delivered; the Delivered, Bounced and Unsubscribed percentages against Sent.

  • Sent — One record per email attempt in the selected view, including attempts that failed to leave the system.
  • Delivered — Sent minus Bounced.
  • Converted — Emails sent to a contact who is marked as paid.
  • Revenue — Converted multiplied by ₹299.
  • Unsubscribed — Emails sent to a contact whose status is now unsubscribed, plus emails marked as a spam complaint.
Important

Delivered is arithmetic, not confirmation — it subtracts bounces from attempts, and nothing reads a delivery receipt from the mail service. An email that failed to send is still counted inside Delivered.

Converted and Revenue count emails, not people: one buyer who received six emails adds six to Converted and ₹1,794 to Revenue, and Revenue is always ₹299 per conversion — never what anyone actually paid. Use your payment records for real revenue.

Unsubscribed also counts emails, not people — every message ever sent to a contact who is now unsubscribed adds one.

How opens and clicks are recorded

An open is recorded when an invisible image inside the email loads — a mail app that blocks images hides a genuine read, and one that auto-loads images records an open nobody made, so read the open rate as a trend. A click also marks the email as opened, making Clicked the more reliable of the two.

Recipient Activity

The list underneath shows one row per email, newest first.

  1. Click a filter button — All, Opened, Clicked, Not Opened or Bounced — to narrow the list.
  2. Read the source line under each address to see which campaign or sequence step the email came from.
  • Not Opened — Emails with no open recorded. Bounced emails are excluded from this filter, so All does not equal Opened plus Not Opened.
  • PAID badge — The contact is marked as paid. It does not mean this particular email caused the payment.
  • Source line — The campaign or sequence name and email number; booking and transactional mail shows "Unknown".
  • Right-hand time — Open time if opened, otherwise send time. All times are IST.

Only the first 100 rows are shown; use the filters to narrow down.

If Sent has not moved

Sequence emails go out on a sweep that runs every 15 minutes, and nothing is sent between 10pm and 8am IST. A sequence activated late in the evening first sends after 8am.

If an amber panel reads "These figures could not be loaded.", the numbers below it are incomplete — click Refresh, and if it keeps failing the reporting data is temporarily unavailable.
